This was annoying honestly. Especially when you think of those feeding from hand to mouth. I was silent all through the ride, listening to what my two friends were saying. “Kai, I am so angry that I can start another protest!” Farida stated loudly. Altine sighed, “Remember the last time we conducted a protest?” She asked. It was then that I joined back in the conversation, “Nothing came out of that protest o.” Farida turned to look at me in surprise. “Haba Maimuna, haven’t the queues disappeared?”

“They have, I do not disagree with that, but the price of fuel has gone up. I believe it was just a trick to increase the price in the first place,” I said. Farida nodded, “That’s actually true o. But at least there is no longer scarcity, some people don’t mind the new price just let it be available. Look at what they charge at black market, my husband was complaining. He was so happy when the fuel came back for that price that it did.” Altine agreed but I was still upset. “It’s not everyone that’s okay with it o. Either way, I still think that they should have been transparent about all this,” I said.
