Gbajabiamila Makes Fresh Appointments

Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has made some fresh appointments in his office following the resignation of political appointees seeking elective offices in the 2023 elections.

The speaker in an official communication to the clerk of the National Assembly confirmed the new appointments.

A statement from the speaker’s media office stated that Olanrewaji Smart Wasiu who was the deputy chief of staff has been appointed as the chief of staff, while former special adviser to the speaker on special duties, Olufunmi Badmus has been appointed as the new deputy chief of staff.

Other appointments include Abdulrauf Modibbo as special assistant on politics (North East) Chief Kenneth Uzoigwe as special assistant on politics in the South East and Ibrahim Ladega is now the special assistant on politics (South West).

Lamir Umar Ibrahim is now the special assistant to the speaker on executive relations while Barrister Bisi Irinoye is now the special assistant to the speaker on legislative matters.
