Reacting on the issue, one of the civil servants Mr. Tom (surname witheld) who spoke bitterly on the issue stated that he didn’t come to work late,” I had already resumed duty to work but went out to buy recharge card at the old secretariat upon trying to return back to my office only to be shut out by security men who said that they were acting according to the instructions of the state governor who just returned back home from lengthy foreign trip.

“Am not a late comer, I only went out to buy a recharge card only to be shut out by our boss the state governor who have been away in the last three weeks,” the civil servant maintained.
