In a groundbreaking study, the vice-chancellor of Covenant University, Professor Abiodun Adebayo, has revealed remarkable findings about the potential of structured water to enhance health, reduce microbial contamination, and optimize physicochemical properties.

The research, conducted in Ota, Ogun state, focused on analyzing various water samples—ranging from rainwater and tap water to distilled and bottled water—subjected to innovative structuring technologies. “We embarked on this study to understand how water, essential for all living organisms, can be optimized for better quality and health benefits,” Adebayo told LEADERSHIP.

Utilizing QNET’s Amezcua Bio Disc 3, the research team tested the effects of supercharging water for periods ranging from 15 minutes to 48 hours. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in pH balance, alkalinity, electrical conductivity, and microbial suppression across structured water samples. One of the key highlights of the study was the impact on E. coli and coliform bacteria, both notorious for causing waterborne diseases. “By structuring the water, we observed a dramatic reduction in microbial contaminants, showing promise for antimicrobial applications,” Adebayo noted.

The structured water also showed increased ability to dissolve minerals, indicating its potential to enhance nutrient absorption in humans, animals, and plants. The study employed advanced analytical techniques and adhered to globally recognized scientific standards.

Professor Adebayo highlighted the broader implications, stating, “Structured water can transform health outcomes and support sustainable development by providing safer and more effective hydration solutions.”

In his reaction to the findings of the study, the category manager and global trainer at QNET, a global direct-selling leader in lifestyle and wellness products, Berni Gaksch told LEADERSHIP that QNET recently launched the Amezcua Bio Disc 3 as a revolutionary tool for improving hydration and overall health. Gaksch explained that water from natural streams is naturally structured and energizing, but processing and transportation strip it of these essential qualities; the Amezcua Bio Disc 3 restores this structure, ensuring water is optimized for the body’s needs, leading to better hydration and improved energy levels.

Gaksch noted that bottled water often lacks the nutrients and molecular structure necessary for effective hydration, adding that, “This is why people sometimes remain thirsty after drinking processed water, particularly in hot climates or after physical activity. By restructuring water molecules, the Amezcua Bio Disc 3 makes hydration more efficient, enhances detoxification, and energizes drinks, food, and even plants and pets, he asserted.

He emphasized that structured water plays a vital role in boosting the immune system, promoting faster cell recovery, and improving energy levels. As the human body is roughly 70 percent water, Gaksch underscored the importance of consuming high-quality, structured water for overall wellness. The Amezcua Bio Disc 3, he averred, is an innovative solution that helps individuals stay hydrated, energized, and healthier.
