Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria (MFOH Nigeria) held the second edition of its annual One-Day Stakeholders Dialogue on the Rights of Indigents on Wednesday at the Bhukari Auditorium of the National Human Rights Commission, Abuja.
Themed “Empowering Indigents: Building Sustainable Solutions,” the event highlighted the organization’s commitment to fostering impactful partnerships and providing an inclusive platform to address the challenges faced by vulnerable communities.
MFOH Nigeria’s National Director, Blessing Inyang, described the forum as a critical step toward sustainable development in her opening remarks. “We are not just here to crown beauty queens; we are here to cultivate leaders, advocates, and changemakers,” she said.
Inyang emphasized the importance of multi-sector collaboration in amplifying the organization’s impact. “It is through collaboration with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, private sector partners, and the diplomatic community that we can achieve our vision,” she noted.
Inyang also celebrated MFOH Nigeria’s recent accolades, including the organization’s recognition as the “Pageant Organisation of the Year” at the 2023 Pageant Analysts Annual Awards. She lauded the achievements of reigning Queen, Amb. Rita Chika Ezenwa, who was named “Beauty Queen of the Year” at the 2023 Golden Stars Awards and “Humanitarian Queen of the Year” at the 2024 Nigeria Women Achievers Awards.
The dialogue featured a mix of thought-provoking presentations, interactive sessions, and goodwill messages from various organizations. Delegates for the 2024 National Showcase actively participated, demonstrating their advocacy skills and underscoring the intersection of beauty and humanitarianism.
The event concluded with a strong call to action, urging all stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure sustainable support systems for indigents. MFOH Nigeria’s innovative approach of integrating beauty, compassion, and advocacy continues to set new benchmarks in empowering women and uplifting vulnerable populations.
The dialogue brought together representatives from key organizations, including the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons; the FCT Department on Higher Education; the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights; the House Committee on Human Rights; and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
