The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) has suspended its seven-day warning strike, following the federal government’s intervention.
The decision was reached at an Extraordinary National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the MDCAN, held virtually yesterday.
The meeting reviewed the strike over the pending issues with the federal government and progress made so far in resolving the issues.
MDCAN had declared a seven-day warning strike in a communique issued at the end of its NEC meeting on November 14, over what it described as government’s failure to meet it’s demands. Senior doctors embarked on the warning strike on Monday November 18.
