Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija’s ‘Level Up’ season, has made the startling decision to drop her surname, Otabor, after discovering that she has no familial ties to the name.

In a recent social media post, Phyna shared her emotional journey, stating, “I am publicly dropping my family surname OTABOR. It has been proven that I actually have no family, and nobody knows how I came about this name. I’m still searching for answers… it’s been rough for me lately. I find it hard to describe how I feel or what I’m going through right now.”

Reflecting on her upbringing, she expressed, “Growing up and being tossed around among relatives, I should have suspected something was amiss, but I guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!!!”

”I’m in a place where I can’t even describe how I feel or what to call what I’m going through right now. Growing up and the way I was tossed around relatives, I should have suspected, but I guess I was too young. Omo, my head wan tear!” she stated.

Phyna’s revelation has resonated with many, as she navigates this challenging phase of her life in search of her true identity.
