Not Every Food Is Meant For Eating, Cleric Admonishes Politicians

A clergyman and lead Pastor, Streams of Joy International and Convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) pastor Jerry Eze, has charged politicians to desist from eating every food that comes to them to avoid running into problems.

The cleric gave the advice during a state solemn Assembly Season 5, organised by the Cross River State government at the weekend.

Eze stressed that there is enough for one’s needs, stressing that there is never enough for one’s greed, advising leaders not to consume beyond what has been earmarked for them.

“Every food is not for you. We have enough for our needs, but there will never be enough for our greed.

“What he says to one, he says to another. It is easy to sit back and say pastor is telling them.

“But in that small office where there are three persons sharing one office, and there is a file that has to move from your table to another, and you are insisting to be given a thousand naira before moving that file, remember every food is not for you.

“There are things that will come to you, and you say this is not for me, or this can’t be me”, the cleric maintained.

The clergyman averred that he is excited about Cross River not just because his wife hails from Cross River State stressing that not every state will bring God to the front burner or gather people to seek his face as done by the state.

The cleric prophesied that God has brought the state through the new, asking leaders of the state to be weary of forces, patterns and cycles.

Speaking on the Solemn Assembly theme; titled “Ebenezer – A State Helped By God and featured intercession, intense worship and the word”, the cleric urged residents of the state to put God first in all their dealings.
Top government functionaries, including the state deputy governor , Dr Peter Odey, the state chief judge, Justice Akon Ikpeme, and the chief of staff, Emmanuel Ironbar, attended the ceremony.
