The speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, has pleaded with the state governor to consider the plight of high-profile politicians in the state.
Bonzena stated this at the state House of Assembly yesterday when Governor Kefas and his Adamawa State counterpart, Umaru Fintiri, visited the house for the commissioning of the remodeled Taraba State House of Assembly Complex.
The speaker while presenting his welcome address at the commissioning ceremony told the governor, “The former speakers, former members of the state assembly and other politicians are suffering.
“Your Excellency, my former speakers here in the state, former members of the State House of Assembly, and other politicians are suffering. They want to support your programmes and are ready to support you. Please look into their plight, sir.
“We are happy with your developmental programmes. The standard to which you have remodelled our assembly complex is international standard, and it is motivational enough that our members can conduct their legislative affairs alongside our assembly workers happily.”
Though Kefas did not make a speech at the commissioning ceremony, his counterpart Fintiri, while commissioning the complex, thanked the Taraba State governor for remodeling the assembly complex to create a conducive working atmosphere for members and the assembly community.
