Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, has emphasized the need to reconcile all aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state to further strengthen the party.
He made the call when he paid a separate visit to the Kontagora local government and the Niger North Zonal APC Secretariats in Kontagora, the headquarters of the senatorial district.
He admonished APC stakeholders on the need for unity and patriotism even as he expressed his administration’s determination to take development down to the grassroots through the Ward Development Projects.
He said the ward development project which will be a project to be conceived by the people at the grassroots and executed by them will engender development disclosing that a committee will soon be set up in that regard.
The governor said the committee, when set up, would collaborate with the Ministry for Rural Development in achieving the set objectives pointing out that huge amount of money has been set aside for the grassroots development, especially in the provision of basic social amenities.
He also enjoined all APC members to always give back to the party to strengthen it and reaffirmed his loyalty to the party.
The APC vice chairman, North Central, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, who appreciated the governor for all his people-oriented policies, said the APC is proud of the achievements of his administration and will continue to rally round him for more success.
