Southampton manager Russell Martin is hopeful Paul Onuachu will be fit for Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.

Onuachu picked up an injury in the Saints 3-2 home defeat to Liverpool two weeks ago
The tall striker missed the South Coast club’s 1-1 draw against Brighton last Friday due to the injury.

Martin is, however, optimistic he will be available for selection when they welcome Chelsea to the St Mary’s Stadium in the midweek fixture.

“We’re hopeful that Paul will be involved on Wednesday, which will be good for us,” Martin was quoted by Yahoo Sports.

The 30-year-old has made six league appearances for Southampton this season.
