Speaking with journalists at the event, the Secretary of Unweka General Assembly (UGA), Prof. Kenneth Nwekpa, said the conferment of the chieftaincy title on Asaga is significant as he is an extraordinary young billionaire and visionary leader, who transforms dreams into reality.

He said: “The Unweka Day ceremony, held on Sunday, was a joyous event that brought together a host of distinguished dignitaries for our annual celebration. This observance of Unweka Day has truly become a cherished tradition. We were privileged to host several esteemed guests, including the Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon Builder Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, former Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency Chief Martin Elechi, Rt Hon Moses Ije Odunwa, Chief Barr Okeagu Ogada, the chairman of the occasion Chief Dr. Samuel Nte Egwu, Chief Livinus Ilanga, Honorable Joseph Orogwu, and many other noteworthy attendees.

“It is difficult to fully express the significance of Ebubedike I of the Unweka Ancient Kingdom; mere words seem insufficient to capture his essence. He is a visionary, transforming dreams into reality. Though no one can take on the role of the divine, this extraordinary young billionaire wields considerable influence.

“I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the High Chiefs who were honoured during the event. Your contributions made Unweka Day an unforgettable celebration. I cannot conclude without acknowledging the chairperson of UGA, the entire executive committee, the Board of Trustees, and government appointees led by ESV Chukwuemeka Anyigor, along with the Ezes and his councils and the Ozos.”
