The rollout of the scheme slated for 2025, aims to bolster small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in agriculture, equipping them with the needed tools and skills to thrive.

The collaborative project between Adanianlabs Nigeria and Ecobba, is spearheaded by John Kamara, the visioner of “You’ve Got Business” movement.

The first phase was powered by Ayoba while the new phase focuses on empowering women farmers and increasing youth involvement in the agricultural value chain.

“The agricultural sector is a major driver of economic growth, but it requires innovative tools to unlock its full potential,” Kamara, the founder of Adanianlabs, said.

“With this partnership, we are not only empowering women and youths but also positioning Nigeria’s agriculture as a data-driven sector that can compete globally,” he said.

The beneficiaries will receive data-driven tools, entrepreneurial training, and resources to overcome market barriers and boost competitiveness.

“This project is about unlocking opportunities for women in agriculture, who are often the backbone of our food systems. By providing them with the tools they need, we are ensuring their success and contributions to national food security,” he added.

The programme is designed to support female entrepreneurs in agriculture by addressing challenges such as limited market access and insufficient technical know-how. Participants will also gain access to networks that facilitate growth and sustainability.

Youth participation is another focus of the initiative as it is targeted ti create a new generation of agricultural leaders by fostering innovation and creativity.

By attracting young Nigerians, the initiative hopes to modernise agriculture and ensure its long-term sustainability.

A standout feature of the initiative is its emphasis on data-driven decision-making. Through a Train-the-Trainer programme, selected community leaders will receive training on the use of data for precision farming, supply chain management, and market forecasting.

“Data is increasingly becoming the backbone of precision farming and agricultural success,” Kamara explained. “This initiative will lead to better decision-making, increased productivity, and ultimately, enhanced economic stability.”

The programme’s focus on data aims to enable farmers to reduce waste, improve productivity, and make informed business decisions that positively impact their communities.

The project also aims to build a collaborative ecosystem by bringing together key stakeholders in agriculture, including governments, NGOs, tech companies, and financial institutions. This network will provide mentorship, market linkages, and business development tools for agri-SMEs.

Partnerships with organisations such as Ecobba are integral to the initiative’s success, ensuring that participants receive comprehensive support to grow their businesses.
