The centenary anniversary was a colourful event with a touch of cultural dimension and attended by sons and daughters of the Akeagbe Akoko community.

One of the sons of the ‘Hill City’ and Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who attended the historic event, took to his Facebook page on Saturday evening, saying that the occasion was a wonderful moment to remember their rich history and cultural heritage as well as rejoice over their achievements and milestones as a community.

Tunji-Ojo wrote: “In the Hill City of Okeagbe Akoko, today, I joined illustrious sons and daughters of the community to celebrate our 100 years anniversary of living in peace and harmony as a community founded on greatness and love by our ancestors.

“It was, indeed, a wonderful moment to remember our rich history and cultural heritage as well as rejoice over our achievements and milestones as a community of progressive minds.
