Pan Northern Group Innuagurates Kano Executives

A pan Northern Group, Rebuild Arewa Initiatives has inaugurated Kwani Auwal Mukhtar as the state coordinator alongside 17 others as state executives to steer the affairs of the group in Kano State.

Speaking during the inauguration at the weekend in Kano, national coordinator of the group, Balarabe Rufai, said the initiative is aimed at promoting peace, unity and development in Northern Nigeria.

He said the initiative has several objectives, including securing the north, promoting peace and unity as well as addressing the issue of money politics.

“Without peace and unity, there can never be development. Worried by all the agitations, banditry, kidnapping, among others, we feel the need to stand up and face the problem which is also affecting farming.

“When all this is tackled and our lost glory is secured, we believe we will have a better northern Nigeria with food security,” he added.

In his remarks, the state coordinator, Mukhtar, said they would work towards peaceful coexistence among all in the state irrespective of religion, tribe or culture.
