Okunbo, also the managing director of Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Abuja, in a speech titled “Embracing the Transformative Power of Art,” delivered at the 2024 Benin Art Fair, “Art has always been a passion of mine, a medium through which we can express our deepest emotions, thoughts and dreams, it is a powerful form of communication that transcends boundaries and unites us, regardless of our backgrounds or beliefs.

“The Benin Art Fair is a celebration of creativity, talent, and innovation. It provides a platform for artists to showcase their work, inspire others, and spark meaningful conversations. Through art, we can explore new perspectives, challenge the status quo, and envision a brighter, more inclusive future.

“I encourage each of you to immerse yourselves in the beauty and diversity of the artworks on display, engage with the artists and their stories, and support the vibrant art community that enriches our lives. Together, let us embrace the transformative power of art, celebrate its profound impact on our world, and reaffirm our commitment to fostering creativity and imagination in all its forms.”*
