Military Bombard Terror Kingpin’s Enclave In Zamfara

Military airstrikes have hit the residence of a bandits’ warlord, Bello Turji, in Zamfara forests with many casualties.

Military sources said scores of armed bandits loyal to the notorious Bello Turji camp were killed in the airstrike.

A senior military officer said the bandits were killed during a coordinated surprise attack by the air component of Operation Forest Sanity in Zamfara State.

He said the air component of Operation Forest Sanity following actionable intelligence deployed two attack aircraft that carried out the attack.

He said the NAF jets rained their missiles at Fakai area, believed to be the residence of  Turji, as part of the military counter-offensive operation currently going on in Shinkafi axis.

“At the moment, we can’t give the actual casualty figure,” he said.

When contacted, the director of public relations and information (DOPRI) confirmed NAF operations in the area but declined giving details.
