The commissioner for finance, Mrs Oyeyemi Florence Olasumbo, stated this in Ilorin, the state capital at a programme to unveil a policy document on food and nutrition.

Oyeyemi said the present administration has worked out a policy document and a multi sectoral plan of actions to effectively stem the cases of stunted growth that hampers the physical and mental fitness of children.

She said the step was borne out of the political will of the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and his avowed commitment to the wellbeing of the downtrodden in the state.

The commissioner, therefore, charged members of the committee on malnutrition issues to commit themselves to the realisation of the policy document, which she said is targeted at eradicating malnutrition in the state.
