Kebbi Gov Signs 2025 Appropriation Bill Into Law

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has signed the 2025 appropriation bill of N580.4 billion into law.
The bill was passed into law by the members of the state assembly at their special sitting at the assembly complex in Birnin Kebbi.

Presenting the bill to the governor for assent on Friday at a brief ceremony at the Government House, the acting speaker of the state assembly, Hon Samaila Muhammed Bagudo, disclosed that the assembly stopped all other activities to scrutinise the bill within seven days and passed it law.

Hon Bagudo thanked the executive arm for sending the bill in good time and urged them to prudently execute it for the benefit of the masses.

Speaking shortly after he assented to the bill, Governor Idris commended the state legislators for their quick action on delivering the bill within seven days, passed into law and presenting it for assent.

The governor assured members and people of the state of his government’s readiness to utilise the bill for the benefit of Kebbi citizenry.

He urged political appointees including commissioners, special advisers and special assistants to sit up, else he would not hesitate to replace whoever is found incompetent.

The governor also said in 2025, his administration would focus on infrastructure, education, health and welfare for the needy.
