The proposed heavyweight clash between British rivals Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua could generate over $300 million in revenue, with both camps expressing interest in staging the fight at Wembley Stadium in 2025.

Following his recent defeat to undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk, Fury has dismissed retirement rumours and set his sights on facing Joshua in what could be the biggest fight in British boxing history.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn believes the timing is perfect for the long-awaited showdown.

“The reality is there’s only one fight for Tyson Fury and that’s Anthony Joshua. It’s the biggest fight probably in the history of British boxing,” Hearn said.

“I think Tyson Fury is still potentially at the peak of his powers but he’s just not good enough to beat Oleksandr Usyk tonight. But for me, AJ against Fury is the one. It’s the one at Wembley.”

Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh has also expressed interest in making the fight happen, having previously organised Fury’s recent bouts with Usyk during the Riyadh Season.

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren earlier told The Sun the bout would be “what people will want to see.”

“The Fury-Joshua fight is a big fight, and if it happens, it will be a mega fight. But it will only happen if Tyson wants to do it,” Warren said.

Both fighters are looking to bounce back from recent setbacks, with Fury losing his undefeated record to Usyk while Joshua suffered his fourth professional defeat against IBF champion Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.

Interestingly, Usyk has backed Joshua to defeat Fury if they eventually meet.

“Maybe Anthony Joshua. Maybe on points,” the Ukrainian told Boxing King Media when asked about the potential matchup between his former opponents.

Despite initially expressing frustration with the judges’ scorecards in his loss to Usyk, claiming the Ukrainian received a “Christmas gift,” The Sun reported that Fury told friends, “This is not over,” signalling his intent to continue his career
