The vehicle, belonging to Kaseem Mustapha, was taken from where it was packed when he was fast asleep at home.

Police spokesperson FCT, SP Josephine Adeh said on December 29, 2024, at approximately 5:00 AM, Police operatives attached to the Command’s Scorpion Squad led by ASP Momoh, successfully intercepted and recovered a gray colored Toyota Corolla, registration number KWL 738 BB, during their routine morning patrol along Apo Dutse Road in FCT Abuja.

She said, “While on patrol, the officers observed the vehicle with a single occupant who appeared nervous and fidgety at the wheel. Acting on their instincts, the officers flagged the vehicle down. In a swift turn of events, the occupant abandoned the car and fled into a nearby bush upon being signalled to stop.”

She further said, “Following this, an analysis of the vehicle’s documents led the operatives to identify and contact the owner, Mr Kaseem Mustapha, who was fast asleep at home at the time of the incident. Upon waking and hearing about the situation, Mr. Mustapha rushed out to find that his car had indeed been taken from where it was parked.
