The proprietor and chancellor of TAU,  Engr. Johnson  Adewumi confirmed the plan during an interview in Oro on the sidelines of the coronation of Oloro Kingdom.

Commending Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration for its equitable development agenda, Adewumi said,

“This government is doing well; it is people-focused. In the whole of Kwara State, tertiary hospital care has been centralised in Ilorin, the state capital. However, by the principle of equity and justice, Governor AbdulRazaq is developing another tertiary institution in Kwara South. We are partnering with him to ensure the realisation of that objective.”
