Commuters Laud Tinubu/Shettima-NAIRAXI Transit Card Initiative

Amid the high cost of transportation in the country due to hike of Petrol and Diesel, Commuters across major cities in Nigeria have lauded the newly introduced Tinubu/Shettima Transit Card Initiative for free road transport services in the country.

The Tinubu/Shetima-NAIRAXI Transit Card initiative is currently assisting alot of Nigerians through free and subsidized transportation cost. The initiative was introduced by Nairaxi Nigeria, an Indigenous tech-powered mobility Company.

 

In a statement signed by company and made available to press explained that the Card has been designed by Nairaxi.Nigeria to provide free and discounted transportation services to Nigerians across all the cities.

Taking to the street to get Commuters views on this initative, Mr Muhammed Hamza, who is a civil servant working in Abuja, told NAIRAXI that ,”This Initiative is a blessing to many because it has reduced cost of transportation in his axis. Hamza expressed gratitude to the Tinubu/Shettima-Nairaxi Transit Card Initiative, stressing that it was indeed a self sustaining program for Nigerians.

 

Speaking also with one Mr. Abbah, He explained that “before this Initiative, most commercial vehicles have continue to exploit people all in the name of rising cost of things across the country, but with the help of this Initiative, I can now smile to my account at month end as the initiative have helped me save up some money.

 

Mr. Abbah explained that the cost of accomodation and transportation are the major problems which Nigerians are faced with. Abbah further described the Tinubu/Shetima-NAIRAXI Transit Card initiative as a great intervention, which is really assisting several Nigerians already.

 

Also, one Mrs Sola Ijatuyi, a businesswoman at Kubwa area of Abuja, expressed joy at the Transit Card Initiative , saying she deliberately dropped her car at home to experience this Initiative to ease her stress of driving.

 

Another Lagos civil servant, Chukwudi Emeka who boarded the bus at the Nyanya park said: “Commuting within Abuja metropolis has never been this fun and exciting. The Transit Card Initiative intervention has changed the face of social life at every bus stop from the exploitation and sometimes awful long wait on long queues to board bus or taxi to your destination.”

 

This Initiative is also part of the preparation to address transportation challenges ahead of the official Presidential campaign flagoff on the 28th of September 2022.
