2023: Tinubu’s Experience’ ll Help Tackle Insecurity, Others, Says Okene

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Founder of the KAONISM Movement, Dr. Khalifa Abdulrahman Okene, has said the vast leadership experience of the party’s presidential standard bearer, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, will help to adequately address issues on corruption, insecurity and the economy in the country.

He drummed his support for the duo, on Monday, while addressing journalists in an interview session in Abuja.

According to him, Tinubu’s vast leadership experience, deep knowledge in local and global political economy, political orientation, foreign policy understanding and amongst other outstanding qualities and experience/expertise makes him stand out in the race.

Acknowledging that all the presidential candidates from various political parties are credible Nigerians, Okene said Tinubu represents a nationalist, a tested and trusted political actor to bring the needed progress to craving Nigerians.

Further, he described Tinubu as a leader and mentor who had directly and indirectly taught him revenue generation and mobilisation, leadership succession plan and good governance from.

He reaffirmed optimism Asiwaju would give Nigeria the needed growth and stability following his antecedents in Lagos State and beyond.

On the Muslim-Muslim APC ticket, the APC chieftain said: “Let’s not be divided among religious line, what we should be after is the capacities of whoever will lead the country rightly and position the nation on the path of growth and advancement.

“I am sure the qualities and capacities of Tinubu and his running mate, Shettima, and what they can offer the country would make the issue of Muslim-Muslim ticket not discourage us. Both of them are ideologically endowed and can tackle the issues of economy, insecurity and other challenges in this country compared to candidates of PDP, LP, NNPP and other parties.

He assured the party of his support, urging Nigerians to vote for Tinubu/Shettima ahead of the 2023 general elections.
