Presenting the rescued victims to newsmen in Dutse, the Immigration Comptroller, Jigawa State Command, Mr Tahir Musa said the victims, between the ages of 21 – 30, hail from Oyo, Ondo, Imo and Ogun States.

Musa said the victims confessed to being lured from different locations to Kano, from where they were to be taken to Niger Republic to arrive in Tripoli, Libya, and eventually to the Mediteranian Sea to Europe.

The comptroller noted that none of the victims possessed any legal traveling documents at the time they were stopped.

However, the Comptroller has handed over the victims to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further assistance and investigation.
