Engr. Auta gave the commendation in his remarks as chairman of Kaduna State chapter of the 2025 Nom Bajju cultural festival, saying the university’s establishment was a major step towards improving education and fostering unity in the region.

He said the administrations of President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governor Sani were no doubt governance centered on inclusivity devoid of political affiliations and regional bias, stressing that their doggedness in seeing the  establishment of the university against all odds was a testament.

Engr.Auta said, “Their unrelenting, doggedness and calm nature in uniting the people across all faiths, irrespective of tribe or party affiliation, has endeared them to many, especially the people of Southern Kaduna.”

He paid tribute to past leaders who laid the foundation for such progress, including the late Senator Isaiah Balat, Colonel Nyan, Ali Madaki,  late Patrick Yakowa, late II Iko, General Luka Bako, Stephen Shekari and late Barnabas Bala Bantex.

“These pillars gave us the breath of a democratic legacy that we are all standing on today,” Auta remarked. He also acknowledged the contributions of Bishop Matthew Kukah, whose advocacy for unity and education he said played a vital role in the university’s realisation, including the immediate past senator of Southern Kaduna, Senator Danjuma Tella La’ah.

He called on all stakeholders to work together to ensure the institution thrives and benefits future generations.
