Niger Approves Examination Fees For Students Of Health Technology

Niger State governor,  Mohammed Umaru Bago has approved the payment of National Examination Fees for all students in government-owned Schools of Health Technology across the  state who are sitting for national examinations this year.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman explained yesterday that the initiative demonstrated the governor’s unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare education and supporting aspiring healthcare professionals in the state.

The SSG revealed that the governor’s approval covers all qualifying students preparing to sit for their national examinations in various Health Technology Programmes.

Alhaji Usman further disclosed that the gesture aimed to alleviate the financial burden on students and their families while promoting excellence in healthcare education.

He stressed that the support is expected to significantly increase the participation rate in national examinations and contribute to producing more qualified healthcare professionals for the state.

Alhaji Usman emphasized the present administration’s dedication to investing in human capital development, particularly in the healthcare sector.

H said, “Our Government recognizes the critical role of well-trained healthcare professionals in building a robust healthcare system. By removing financial barriers to these examinations, we are investing in the future of our healthcare delivery system”.

The SSG said the gesture demonstrated  Governor Bago’s commitment to supporting the educational pursuits of Niger State students, particularly those in the health sector.

He said by shouldering the burden of examination fees, the governor aimed  to alleviate financial constraints that often hindered students’ progress.

The SSG noted that the payment of examination fees is part of Governor Bago’s broader efforts to promote quality education and healthcare in the state adding that the administration has implemented various initiatives to upgrade educational infrastructure and expand access to healthcare services.
