Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has said the state would soon become the grape farming hub in the country, maintaining that his administration will continue to support businesses.

The governor noted that Kudan local government area accounts for 85 percent of the country’s grapes production largely due to its favourable climatic and soil conditions.

He assured grape farmers that the state government would continue to provide seedlings, mechanisation, training and support services to them to improve their yield per hectare.

Governor Sani stated this at the weekend in Kaduna when he met members of the Grapes Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NGRAPPMAN), led by its national president, Alhaji Abdullahi Dalhatu.

He commended the association for promoting Kaduna as a major grape-producing state, assuring members of his administration’s readiness to support the sector.
