Police Parade Suspected Car Snatcher In Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has paraded a suspected car snatcher and recovered one Toyota Coaster Bus with registration Number GWA 488 ZD, and cream colour.

According to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Lokoja, SP William Ovye Aya,  yesterday, this feat was made possible by the joint efforts of the Nigeria police and other security agencies in the state.

According to SP Aya, the arrest of the suspect, Nnamdi Osita, a 39-year-old man, was consequent upon intelligence received that a Toyota Coaster Bus, suspected to have been stolen from Nyanya, FCT, Abuja for over one year, was sighted moving along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.

The statement reads, “In compliance with the directives of the Commissioner of Police Kogi State Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc in sustaining the onslaught against criminal elements operating in the State, on 23rd January 2025 at about 1645hrs, the Operatives attached to ‘B’ Division Lokoja in synergy with other Security Agencies arrested one Nnamdi Osita a 39 years old with one Toyota Coaster Bus with Registration Number GWA 488 ZD cream colour.

“This is consequent upon an intelligence received that, a Toyota Coaster Bus suspected to have been stolen from Nyanya, FCT, Abuja for over one year was sighted moving along the Abuja-Lokoja highway. Immediately the Police Operatives swung into action through a converted efforts in collaboration with other Security Agencies arrested the above suspect. Investigation is ongoing.

“The CP assured the good people of Kogi State that the Command is ever determined in synergy with other Security Agencies to ensure adequate Security of Lives and Property. While calling on the members of the public for their support and cooperation to the Police and other Security Agencies by volunteering timely and credible information on the activities of criminal elements operating in the State.
