Coalition Commends Governor Nasir for Transformative Policies Benefiting Civil Servants

The Coalition of Civil Society Organisations has applauded the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, for implementing impactful reforms aimed at improving the welfare of civil servants and fostering development in the state.

Addressing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, the coalition’s National Secretary, Lukman Mahmoud, highlighted several key achievements of Governor Nasir Idris’ administration, describing them as evidence of visionary leadership and a deep commitment to the progress of Kebbi State.

He outlined these achievements, stating: “Payment of ₦75,000 Minimum Wage: A historic move aimed at improving the living standards of civil servants.

“Front Payment of Pension and Gratuity: Ensuring prompt and dignified access to benefits for retirees.

“Approval of Retirement Age for Teachers: Increasing the retirement age to 65 years, or 40 years of service, to strengthen the education sector.

“Provision of Utility Vehicles: Enhancing operational efficiency in ministries and boards.

“Timely Payment of Salaries: Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the welfare of workers.”

He described these initiatives as transformative, emphasizing that they have significantly enhanced productivity, improved workers’ morale, and contributed to the overall development of Kebbi State.

“We commend governor Nasir Idris for his bold and people-centered policies. His efforts have not only uplifted the lives of civil servants but also set a new standard for governance in Nigeria,” said.

The coalition called on civil servants to reciprocate the governor’s goodwill by dedicating themselves to service and working towards the collective progress of the state.

He futhermore urged the people of Kebbi State to support the administration’s vision and efforts to build a prosperous and inclusive society.
