The Chief Executive Officer of Nordica Fertility Centre, Dr. Abayomi Ajayi, has shared essential advice for individuals and couples striving to overcome fertility challenges and achieve parenthood in 2025.

Speaking at a webinar titled Guide to Having Your Own Baby in 2025, Ajayi emphasized the critical role of lifestyle changes, particularly for men.

He advised avoiding smoking, excessive caffeine intake, tight-fitting clothes, and hot tubs. He also cautioned against keeping mobile phones near the testicles and recommended low-fat dairy instead of full-fat options for those trying to conceive.

For natural conception, Ajayi highlighted the importance of regular intercourse, recommending two to three times per week, as defined by the World Health Organization. He also suggested ovulation monitoring for couples living apart and underscored the significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including adequate sleep (6–8 hours per day).

For those requiring assisted reproductive techniques such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), the CEO, stressed the importance of selecting a clinic with strong ethics, robust quality control, and access to advanced technology. He encouraged patients to prepare mentally and physically for multiple cycles, noting that IVF success rates improve cumulatively.

“Your chances of taking a baby home after three IVF cycles is about 65 percent,” he explained. Ajayi also emphasized the value of proper nutrition and the use of recommended supplements to maximize success rates and reduce the risk of congenital abnormalities.

The fertility expert highlighted IVF‘s diagnostic potential, noting that observing sperm and egg interaction outside the body can reveal previously unknown issues. He encouraged patients to remain open to learning from failed cycles and consult reputable sources such as the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA, UK), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM, USA), and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE, Europe) for reliable information.

Addressing male reproductive health, Ajayi advised men experiencing erectile dysfunction to consult medical professionals, as it could signal underlying health or psychological issues. He noted that Nordica Fertility Centre now offers psychological services to support patients dealing with anxiety and related concerns.

Ajayi therefore urged those seeking parenthood—whether through natural means or IVF—to take proactive steps, educate themselves, and prepare their bodies to increase the likelihood of achieving their dream in 2025.
