NBA Hails Tinubu Over Assent Of Maritime Varsity Bill

The Nigerian Bar Association has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over assent to the Nigeria Maritime University Bill.

In a congratulatory message by presdient of the Association, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN said the Nigeria Maritime University will not only create jobs for the people and residents of Niger Delta but will also create opportunities for Nigerians to have specialised skills in the maritime area.

“The President’s assent is a welcome development towards strengthening the relative peace in the Niger Delta.

“I urge the people of Niger Delta to protect the institution and ensure that it becomes a conducive learning environment for would be maritime experts,” he said.
