Bauchi Approves Over N793m For 2025 NECO, UTME  Exams

Bauchi State Government has released about N793, 626, 000 for the payment of 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) and Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination  (UTME) registration for secondary school students in the state.

LEADERSHIP reports that the released amount would also cover registration fees of Bauchi students siting for this year’s National Business and  Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) and National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS).

Similarly, only registered and indexed students would benefit from the intervention.

Speaking to journalists in his office, commissioner for Education, Dr  Mohammed Lawal said NECO registration fee of about 23,294 students would be paid; 1,834 students for NABTEB exams; 282 students for NBAIS exams and 5,000 students for UTME exams.

He warned school principals to avoid issuing index numbers to students who do not qualify to benefit from the scheme.

The commissioner warned that anyone found wanting would be dealt with according to relevant civil service rules.
