A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Zed Faith Foundation International (ZFFI), has trained over 200 students on skills acquisition and personal hygiene as part of efforts to drive development of the nation’s human capital.

The two-day training, which took place at Jabi Junior Secondary School in Abuja, was a fulfillment of a promise made to the school management to empower the students on skills that would enable them to become productive.

Founder/CEO, ZFFI, Daniel Onyeka Newman, who spoke at the training told the students that it was part of the foundation’s core value to care for the needy and elderly in the society.

According to him, the foundation would continue in its secondary school skills acquisition and health sensitisation programme nationwide, to help the next generation in discovering hidden potentials in them.

According to him, the initiative will and not only impact the lives of the teenagers and youth but make them more health-conscious and self-sufficient for national development.

The principal of Junior Secondary School Jabi II, Abuja, Senior Mistress Okereke Chinenye, who spoke on behalf of the school management, commended the foundation for the empowerment.

She said the foundation’s move was a thoughtful and timely intervention programme in catching teenagers and youths at the junior secondary school level, especially at a time such as this.

She urged the foundation not to give up on its efforts in changing and impacting the lives of youths and teenagers in Nigeria.

Recall that the exercise, which began on September 27, 2022, involved the students in health discussions and other initiatives for students.

Zed Faith Foundation International said it is poised to ensure that poor children are taken care of which is why it embarked on the two-day training and skills acquisition with the students as well as books distribution.
