This was stated in a press release issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja following his inaugural meeting with the top management of the National Assembly bureaucracy.

According to a statement signed by the director of information, Mr Bullah Audu Bi-Allah, Ogunlana emphasised the importance of prioritising staff welfare, recognising their crucial role in boosting productivity within the institution.

He also reiterated his commitment to continuing and expanding on the infrastructural development projects initiated by his predecessor while addressing security concerns within the National Assembly complex.

The CNA commended the top management for their contributions to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the National Assembly bureaucracy and called for stronger collaboration to achieve the institution’s objectives.

He noted that the Nigerian National Assembly is Africa’s largest, busiest, and most vibrant parliament, stressing the need for continuous innovation and reforms.

“The future of our institution hinges on our collective commitment to progress and excellence. Let us work together, upholding the ideals of professionalism, accountability, and service to the Nigerian people,” he said.

The proposed legislative amendments and welfare improvements are expected to bolster staff motivation and efficiency, ensuring a more effective parliamentary system in Nigeria.
