With the revised structure, the influence of food prices has been reduced to 40 per cent The updated CPI also includes more product varieties, increasing from 740 to 934 items, and now tracks expenditure on services more comprehensively.

Following Imo State, the two states with the highest inflation rates in January 2025 are.

Ebonyi – All-items inflation rate of 16.13 per cent and food inflation of 16.88 per cent .
