No fewer than 10 persons have been killed and six others abducted by bandits in Karaga village, Bassa Ward, in Shiroro local government area of Niger State.
The bandits have launched fresh attacks on the villages referred to Shiroro Across in recent weeks.
The gunmen were said to have been operating with sophisticated weapons superior to those of the local vigilantes, who tried to stop them.
It was learnt that the bandits, who operated unhindered, shot at the villagers randomly and killed 10 persons in the village.
