Team Delta Set To Dominate Nigeria Again At Gateway Games – Oborevwori

Mr Onoriode Oborevwori, Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, has confirmed that Team Delta is poised to dominate the country once again at the Gateway Games.

He expressed his immense joy regarding the team’s performance, noting that it has given both the government and the people something to celebrate.

While reminding the athletes and coaches to avoid complacency, he emphasised the importance of early preparation to ensure the state maintains its number one position at the games.

Additionally, Franka Okonma, Director of Public Relations at the Delta State Sports Commission, confirmed that Team Delta qualified for the Gateway Games by securing qualifying spots in 12 out of 16 sports across both male and female categories.

“At the South-South zonal elimination for team sports in Benin City, Edo State, Team Delta defied the odds and secured tickets in 12 out of the 16 sports for both male and female categories.
