Armed with placards with various inscriptions, the women converged on Ijemikin in Akure at the residence of the Ejeminkin of Akure, High Chief Oluwole Omotayo where they condemned the surge in the rate of kidnapping in the state in recent times.

Confirming the development, Pastor Ajibade Owolanke, a brother to the Ejemikin of Akure, High Chief Oluwole Omotayo, said the abducted surveyors were released last night after the payment of N20 million ransom.

Pastor Owolanke also confirmed that the surveyors were already in Akure but declined to disclose their location.
