2 Nabbed For Ritual Killing Of Minor In Adamawa

Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested two persons for the brutal murder of a 10-year-old boy in Jada local government area of the state.

The suspects, Ibrahim Abdul Malik and Aliyu Abdul Malik, both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma confessed to killing and beheading their victim, an almajirin, identified as Abdalla Lawali of Anguwar Dubai of the same area.

The victim was reported missing on 7th March, 2025 after which a search operation commenced to find the missing child.

Police said the suspects were arrested following receiving information on their’ involvement in the killing of the missing boy.

Security operatives were consequently deployed to the scene of the crime where the decomposed body of the deceased was recovered in a sack.

The residence of the suspects were thereafter searched after a warrant leading to the discovery of a shallow grave where the severed head of the victim was discovered within the premises.

Police said the suspects confessed to committing the crime during investigations, regretting their action.

The case has been directed to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and deligent prosecution.

The public is also assured that justice will be served while the police called on parents and guardians to be vigilant and report any suspicious movements around their neighborhood to the police.
