Hewlett-Packard Partners MPH Services To Empower Africa’s Graduate Talent Across 15 Countries

In a groundbreaking move aimed at addressing Africa’s graduate unemployment crisis, HewlettPackard (HP) has announced a new partnership with MPH Services, a provider of job placement services. This collaboration will see HP allocate a total of 700 roles across 15 countries in 2025, targeting highly skilled graduates in critical industries such as Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, and Business Operations.

This partnership comes in response to the staggering statistics: with over 780,000 graduates entering Nigeria’s job market annually and 85 million youths unemployed or underemployed, according to research conducted by CNN’s Change Africa initiative, the need for accessible and impactful employment pathways has never been greater.

Opportunities Across 15 Countries

Hewlett-Packard will offer these 700 roles in countries where they have a strong presence, including: United States, United Kingdom, Germany, India, Italy, France, Brazil, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, and Poland.

High-Demand Job Categories

The 700 roles will span multiple sectors. Some of the most in-demand job categories in this partnership include:

  • Business Administration: Roles such as Commercial Account Manager, Partner Sales, and Business Operations focus on managing client relationships, driving sales strategies, and optimizing business functions.
  • Computer Science: Jobs like Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, and Data Science are critical to developing cutting-edge software, protecting HP’s systems, and analyzing data to drive business insights.
  • Economics: Positions such as Finance (Fin) and Strategic Development focus on managing financial assets, budgeting, and providing strategic direction to support HP’s growth.
  • Guidance and Counselling: HR Business Partner and Staffing & Recruiting roles are designed to support the development and well-being of employees, as well as guide candidates through the recruitment process.
  • Marketing: HP offers roles like Marketing Analytics & Operations, Partner Marketing, and Account Based Marketing to optimize market strategies, campaigns, and partnerships to expand HP’s reach.
  • Mass Communication: Roles such as Public Relations (not listed but relevant) and Interactive/Web Marketing are integral to HP’s communication efforts, promoting the company’s products and services.
  • Criminology & Security Studies: Cybersecurity Governance, Cybersecurity Engineering, and Customer Solution Center – Technical roles are essential in protecting HP’s assets and customer data from security threats.
  • Entrepreneurship: Positions like Partner Sales, Services Tech Consulting, and Solutions Architect focus on driving innovation, building partnerships, and providing consulting services to meet the evolving needs of businesses.
  • Entrepreneurship and Business Management: Project/Program Management, Commercial Account Manager, and Services Business Development are aimed at managing and growing HP’s projects, client accounts, and business development strategies.
  • Environmental Science and Resource Management: Roles like Environmental Health & Safety and Manufacturing Technician are crucial to ensuring HP operates sustainably and responsibly, minimizing its environmental impact.
  • Information Technology: Key IT-focused roles at HP include IT Engineering, Software Applications, and Field Technical Support, which are essential for maintaining and supporting HP’s technological infrastructure.
  • Public Administration: Government Affairs and Public Relations roles focus on navigating governmental relations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across HP’s operations.
