Irigwe Youth Movement (IYM) has confirmed the killing of three persons by suspected gunmen when they attacked Dundu village Kwall Chiefdom of Bassa local government area of Plateau State.

IYM, in a statement issued in Jos by the national publicity secretary Joseph Yonkpa, said despite previous attacks on the community members in the last fortnight and the destruction of dry-season farm crops, gunmen ambushed and killed three persons at Dundu village in recent violence.

The victims who were killed are Mr John Avia, 48, Sunday Vickson, 32 and Peter Vickson, 30 years old, respectively.

IYM said the incidents have become too many, besides the wanton destruction of properties by the terrorists.

He said the continuous violent attack on the community suggests that the attackers are not disposed to peaceful coexistence and tranquillity in Irigwe land.
