Talent manager Olatunji Emmanuel has urged artists to look beyond talents and embrace hard work.

Speaking in an interview with journalists in Lagos yesterday, Emmanuel, also the chief executive officer of Sucre House of Entertainment, urged artists to avoid traits that disqualify potential.

He said, “The biggest deal-breaker in working with talent is laziness and lack of discipline — regardless of their potential. Laziness and indiscipline are a no for me.”

He said about his firm, “We’re not just about hype; we’re finishers. We take projects from ideation to execution and ensure results. But the key is working with unique and committed talent. I have a solid team behind me—we brainstorm, plan long-term strategies, and execute meticulously. But the talent must bring drive and work ethics to the table.”

Emmanuel is widely known for spearheading one of the top talent agencies in the country. As he’s popularly called, Sucre has successfully managed endorsement deals for major brands across the continent. His agency has brokered partnerships with leading companies like Bet9ja, securing campaigns with influencers such as Yhemolee, Pocolee, and Sheggz, among others.
