First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu has hailed Nigerian mothers as the backbone of families and silent builders of the nation, praising their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to raising future generations.

In a special Mother’s Day message issued on Sunday, the First Lady described mothers as “unsung heroes” whose roles often go unrecognised but whose impact shapes the country’s future.

“Today, I honour every mother across Nigeria—those who care tirelessly for their families, who balance work and home, and those who, despite challenges, continue to give their best,” Tinubu said.

She emphasised that mothers hold the key to the values and character of the next generation, stressing that their nurturing, wisdom, and love play a vital role in building a better society.

“The future of our nation and the world lies in the values, wisdom and love we instill in the coming generation,” she added.

“Your sacrifices, dedication, and commitment to raising the next generation is truly inspiring,” she said.

Tinubu concluded her message with a prayer for Nigerian mothers and the country, “God bless our dear mothers. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she said.
