Oyebanji, Senate Leader Commission Constituency Projects In Ekiti

Multimillion naira constituency projects, initiated by the Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele have been inaugurated by Ekiti State governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.

The governor, alongside Senator Bamidele, for three days moved around to commission the projects spreading across his Ekiti central senatorial district of the state.

The Senate Leader had last Saturday received an honorary Doctor of Law (Honoris Causa) of the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti

The projects include:  phase two, male and female hostels, a new modern stadium, an FM radio station for EKSU, which is ongoing.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof.  Joseph Babalola, said the Senate Leader   is a testament to the fact that Education still remains the best investment.

Earlier,  Ekiti State Governor Oyebanji described Senator Bamidele as a pride of Ekiti and also commissioned a  completed ultra Ojo Oba modern market,  with solarised lights which the federal lawmaker presented to Igede Ekiti community, headquarters of Irepodun/Ifelodun local government area of the state.

An Ultra- modern market with solar powered lights was another project commissioned at Aramoko Ekiti, headquarters of Ekiti West local government area of the state.

The traditional ruler of the town, Oba James Adelusi Aladesuru II, the Onigede of Igede-Ekiti, and other community leaders who spoke at the event expressed their gratitude to the senator for fulfilling his campaign promises to his constituents.

The people of the town who trooped out in their numbers, pledged their continued support  for  President Bola Tinubu’s government and All Progressives Congress (APC) governments  both at the state and federal levels.

While commissioning the projects, Governor Oyebanji was full of praise for the senate leader whom he described as a gift to Ekiti state.

The governor also thanked the people of the senatorial district for their support for his government and assured the people of more government presence.

Also, Senator Bamidele led Governor Oyebanji and other dignitaries to Iyin Ekiti his hometown where the Governor commissioned late Mrs. Abiyamo Juliana Tinuola Bamidele memorial Ultra- Modern Event Centre, and handed over to Bababoni Anglican Church Iyin Ekiti.
