KADIRS head of Corporate Communications, Zakari Jamilu Muhammad, in a statement said Kaduna State was selected as one of three pilot states for the implementation of the GRM, alongside Kano and Jigawa states.

The statement further explained that the GRM initiative was coordinated by the Civil Society Legislative and Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), Christian Aid, and the Tax Justice Network and Good Governance Platform (TJ&GP).

Performing the committee’s inauguration at KADIRS headquarters, Kaduna, the executive chairman of KADIRS, Comrade Jerry Adams, said the committee was tasked with receiving, recording, and tracking all complaints and grievances from taxpayers and ensuring timely resolution of all matters.

Adams further stated, “This is a step towards the bigger picture we envision. We aim to create a system where taxpayers can lodge their complaints and inquiries through seamless and efficient channels. Currently, the Service has deployed an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system across all frontline units and offices, providing 24/7 support,” the KADIRS boss said.
