PICTORIAL: Nigerian-born Lord Mayor Of Leeds, Ex-CDS Agwai, Others Get Traditional Titles In Kaduna’s Jaba Kingdom

The Lord Mayor of Leeds in the United Kingdom, Abigail Marshall Katung; former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Martin Lurther Agwai (rtd), and three others were on Friday honoured with traditional titles in Jaba Kingdom of Kaduna State, by His Royal Majesty, the Kpop Ham, Dr. Danladi Gyet Maude.

Abigail Katung, who is the wife of the Senator representing Kaduna South in the Senate, Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung, was honoured with the esteemed traditional title of Gimbiyan Jaba (Princess of Ham), while General Agwai, who is also a former Chief of Army Staff, got the Sarkin Yakin Jaba (Ham) title.

Other distinguished sons and the daughter of the Ham Kingdom honoured included Barr. Dr. Deborah Usman, as Jakadiyan Jaba (Ham); Dr. Gideon Jock, as Hasken Jaba (Ham), and Dr. Dogara Gyet, as Jagaban Jaba (Ham).

An elated husband of the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Senator Katung, who took to his Facebook page on Saturday morning, congratulated the honourees on behalf of the people of Kaduna South Senatorial District, adding that, “This recognition is a testament to your unwavering commitment, integrity, and service to our people. The Ham Nation is truly blessed to have leaders like you.”
