Carlo Ancelotti has addressed rumours of a rift between him and his Real Madrid squad following their Champions League exit.
Relevo claims that Madrid’s dressing room is growing increasingly distrustful of Ancelotti and that some complained to club president Florentino Perez following their 2-1 Champions League quarter-final loss to Arsenal.
However, the Italian says anyone who talks about a rift “isn’t telling the truth”.
He told a press conference: “I’ve spoken with the players and the club. We’re on the same page. We’re hurt. These are things that can happen in football; you can’t always win.
“We have the same idea. We haven’t had a clash with the club because we’re always in the same boat. Anyone who talks about a clash with the president isn’t telling the truth.”
Ancelotti is said to have the support of Perez but the ex-AC Milan and Chelsea manager may be on borrowed time at Madrid.
They are still in with a shot of winning La Liga and the Copa del Rey but if they fail to triumph in either, the 65-year-old is likely to leave the club this summer.
