Kebbi State Elders Consultative Forum has enumerated some major achievements recorded by the Kaura-led administration within two years in office and urged the government to continue executing more developmental projects to ensure more development so that it can compete with other states of the federation.
This was part of the communique read to journalists by the forum’s director general, Comrade Faruq Abdullahi Maiyama, at the end of a meeting at his residence at Gesse Phase 1 in Birnin Kebbi.
He said the forum acknowledged the giant strides by the Nasiru Idris-led administration in the last two years.
According to the communique, a committee has been set up to advise the government on key areas, including agriculture, education, health, solid mineral development and security.
He also explained that the forum was not political or ethnic and comprised elders of all calibres from all parts of the state to advise the government on the way forward for the state’s development.
He, however, called on the people of the state to be united and to also advise the state government on what is good and bad for the citizens.
