The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that Tour Operators interested in securing ‘Tent A’ accommodation for their pilgrims through Rawaf Mina should promptly upgrade their payments to access these facilities.
This announcement follows a Zoom meeting held Wednesday, April 24, during which NAHCON engaged with Rawaf Mina Service Providers. With them, it has entered into an agreement to offer VIP services for this year’s Hajj.
The Rawaf Mina Company has confirmed the availability of 2,800 VIP bed spaces in a newly constructed building located just a short distance from the Jamrat. This five-storey facility features 23 rooms on the first floor and 30 rooms on the second, third, and fourth floors.
During the Zoom meeting, tour operators were informed about the necessary steps to upgrade their accommodations. The chairman of Rawaf Mina urged operators to complete their Hajj registration processes promptly, as the company intends to produce the NUSUK access cards for pilgrims once all procedures are finalised.
As a result, NAHCON in a statement released yesterday and signed by Fatima Sanda Usara, assistant director of information and publication, said tour operators whose intending pilgrims have been allocated to Tent A but were originally registered under Tent D for administrative purposes are now required to pay the outstanding balance. This payment will confirm their allocation and facilitate the re-routing of their transportation vehicles to the designated camp in Muna.
